Vancouver launches program to help immigrants integration

"With the CitizenU program ... we' re striving to build a safer and more inclusive city where discrimination, where racism and bullying no longer exist," he said.Under CitizenU, youth completing the program will be able to join mentorship/internship programs. Through this they will be able to put their learning to work in programs run by the city, government agencies, businesses and community organizations.
Hardeep Singh, who immigrated to Canada two years ago from India' s northern Punjab state, said it is great to live in Vancouver."There exists some bullying,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], some discrimination in the school,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but I think an initiative like CitizenU will be really beneficial in answering such issues in the overall community," the 18-year-old said.
