Boththesofteningeffectofsoilsaroundpileduringvibrationandslippagealongthepile-soilinterfacearetakenintoaccount. Thecharacteristicsofthefrequency-dependencyofdynamicstiffnessanddampingofpilearereproduced. Itisshownthroughthecomparativestudiesonanexamplethatthenumericalresultsofdynamicimpedanceofpilecomputedbytheproposedmethodarerelativelyrationalandcanwellagreewiththecomputationalandex-perimentalresultscurrentlyavailable. Finallyparametricstudiesaremadeforavariedrangeofmainparametersinvolvedtodiscusstheeffectofrelevantfactorsonverticaldynamicimpedanceofpile.
