you are a Mercedes owner, then I probably don't need to tell you how wonderful these cars are. There is no doubt that the Germans make the absolute best cars in the world. I had always dreamed about buying my first Mercedes ever since I was a little boy. However, it wasn't until I was 27 that I finally managed to save up enough money to buy one. I had been working at my job for 3 years Ed Hardy Shoes, and I put aside $100 per month until I could afford a big down payment. I remember that I couldn't believe it when I finally drove off the dealer's lot with my new Mercedes. I couldn't wait to show it off to all my friends. I would sometimes open the hood and marvel at the elegance of the Mercedes engine.
That car served me faithfully for more than 15 years. I always followed the recommended maintenance schedule so that my Mercedes engine would keep running flawlessly. However, as my odometer approached 250,000 miles, I began to notice that my beloved Mercedes engine wasn't quite acting like a spring chicken any longer. It simply wasn't as responsive to the accelerator. I tried to ignore it at first, but the truth began to sink in. My Mercedes may have finally run its course. I had a major decision to make. I could either buy a new Mercedes, or I could replace my Mercedes engine. Ultimately, I decided to replace my Mercedes engine. Was it worth it? Yes! Here's why.
1. I Saved Money
Even though I knew I was going to have to spend a bit of money in either case, replacing my Mercedes engine ended up costing much less than it would have to buy a completely new car. A Mercedes is a remarkably well-built vehicle, and nearly all of the other components were still in perfect working order. It seemed silly to me to buy a brand new car when the only thing wrong with my current car was the engine.
2. It Made My Mercedes Run Like New
After all these years, I can't believe that I had forgotten how awesome a brand new Mercedes engine can be. For much less than the cost of a new Mercedes, that is essentially what I got. My car now ran exactly as well as the first day I bought it. The responsiveness was unbelievable.
3. I'm Nostalgic
This may have been the biggest reason that I decided to replace my Mercedes engine rather than to buy a new Mercedes. Even though nature was telling me that my car's time had come, I simply wasn't ready to let go. I love my car. It has served me well all these years. I can remember the time when I picked up my wife in my Mercedes for our very first date. I can remember when we got married and my nieces tied tin cans to the bumper and wrote "Just Married" on the back window. I can remember when I drove my wife and my daughter to Disney World in my Mercedes; and of course, I can remember the first day that I drove it off the lot when I was 27 years old. I didn't want to give those memories up. |
